Great news! FOTTP has been shortlisted by the Nationwide Building Society in a competition for a cash award under their community support scheme. Each of the local organisations shortlisted receives £100 just for being on the shortlist, but the winning organisation receives a further £500. and the winner is chosen by the public. – which is where you can help. All you have to do is to pop into a local branch of the Nationwide in Telford or Newport and cast your vote for the Friends of Telford Town park. It’s a simple process based on adding plastic counters to the pot of the appropriate shortlisted organisation. Voting runs through to March and there seems to be no limit to the number of counters that you can add or to the number of times that you can vote. And you don’t need to be a customer of the Nationwide. So, vote early and vote often to ensure that FOTTP tops the pole.
