Memory Leaves raise over £500 for charities

leafDuring Telford’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, the Friends of Telford Town Park started a scheme to hang memory leaves on a metal tree in the Sensory Garden in the Chelsea Gardens, Telford Town Park. The stainless steel unique leaves can be purchased for £25 with the profit going to the charity of the purchaser’s choice.

To date almost £500 has been raised for the Midland Air Ambulance, British Heart Foundation, Severn Hospice, British Legion Poppy Appeal, Cadasil Support, Cancer Research UK, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Guide Dogs UK, Hope House, Lingen Davies, Multiple System Atrophy, RSPB, Somerville Foundation, St Giles Trust, and the YMCA Holly Project.

There are just a few leaves remaining now from the original 50 produced exclusively for the Friends of Telford Town Park by the British Ironwork Centre near Oswestry.

Leaves may be purchased for £25 via the web site and inscribed for a special price of just £10 from Timpson’s in Telford Town Centre. Anyone special may be remembered living or deceased by hanging one of these gleaming leaves onto the metal tree in the Sensory Garden of Telford Town Park.
